Well, well, well… It has sure been awhile since my last blog post. I spontaneously disappeared for a couple of weeks. My “blogging break” wasn’t planned, but it was seriously much needed! I really needed a break from busting out content and forcing myself to meet everyone’s expectations. I feel so much better after this mini detox and now I’m ready to come back. First things first, where have I been or what have I been up to? A lot has happened in the past few weeks so let’s catch up and get up to date before I make a complete return 🙂 P.S. Created a Portfolio Website
I am now halfway through my third year of undergrad, so things are starting to get a bit serious! It’s time to start adulting and build a personal branding for myself. I didn’t want to just show everyone my blog and be like, “ok here you go”, but I wanted something more professional. I took a few weeks to create a few small projects for my portfolio and finally made it live! You can view it directly at www.sallypau.com. It still needs a bit more work, but I think it’s off to a great start!
Started My Internship Hunt
Along with being in my third year, I have to start preparing for internship applications as a part of my program. I need to find an internship this summer, so it has been a bit stressful because so many students are all fighting for the same spots. Everyone wants a cool, paid internship gig but the competition is real. So real.
I spontaneously started competition prep! Originally I wasn’t going to start prep until April for a show in late July, but I decided to just dive for it and prepare for a show in May. It has been such a fun experience so far, but it was definitely taken a lot of time to adjust. I wanted to take some time away from my blog to focus on my competition prep because this means so much to me and I really want to give it my all. I was putting my focus into going over my new training and diet plans, meal prepping, waking up early for fasted cardio, pushing through my evening weight training, and so on. I’m into my fourth week of prep and I have a bit over 13 weeks to go! You can follow my fitness Instagram for daily updates @sallypaufit!
As everyone knows, I’ve been juggling a thousand things for awhile now and I’ve always been extremely proud of my time management skills. WELL, things kind of catch up to you over time and it has been constant burnouts and frustration over and over again. I decided to chill out for a few weeks to see what I can do to lessen whatever’s on my plate. May or may not be blogging as much over the next few months as I figure things out, but don’t worry, I’m not going away! I probably just won’t be trying to force out 3 posts a week as I used to, but I will still have weekly posts.
